Thought(s) & question edit
This was my first encounter with a page of this type. I welcomed it at first, could imagine creating others like it. I'm an active Wikip. editor and have used Wikip. to look up or even to add initialisms like this and other definitional nuances because, on initialisms in partic. it's the best way to find out what others are writing on the web. I have ventured tentatively to Wikt., may have done a little editing there, haven't really been drawn/won over. That's fine. Different strokes. Back to today: First, the link to Wikt. took a lo-o-ng time. My system's dialup and archaic but still it was much worse than any other link I've seen in comparable circumstances. Maybe just today, whatever. Second, it worked. I found out what I needed to know. Third, I ended up wondering "Why have two different 'institutions'?" [I could see a blend, first glimpse, mind's eye.] Now that I've enunciated it, I expect there's a discussion somewhere about it. Maybe I'll track it down.
