202207 NuttX Removal from WikiPedia Request Discussion edit

Please don't remove it. I'm improving the page. NuttX is a relevant RTOS used in many commercial and open source projects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acassis (talkcontribs) 14:36, 22 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • User:cederom There is a strong opposition of User:MrsSnoozyTurtle and general requests to delete articles on Free_and_open-source_software / Open-source_hardware projects both from the Developers and the Users community! NuttX is the most liberal and versatile solution available for everyone worldwide for free including the full source code that anyone can adapt, extend, or fix. Our community consists of amateurs, hobbyists, do-it-yourself folks, retro computing fans, academic community, even the commercial ones. Someone anonymous (no guts to even give a signature?) stated that information provided on wiki article can be also found on the project website and introduced some sort of bias. Really? Are you going to delete all Free-and-Open-Source projects from WikiPedia because someone that even has no account here have no idea what they are talking about? We assure you that Free and Open Source world is the first and last hope of humanity for no bias :-) Exactly the same arguments could be stated against Linux and BSD Operating Systems and any other Open-Source Software/Hardware project. There may be some sort of trolling happening here unfortunately. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cederom (talkcontribs) 13:28, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I agree. A lot of the RTOS projects use direct information from the project sites. Most of the copied information is about features that NuttX provides. This isn't a bias, it's a statement of facts. That said, it would be nice to have the article extended more and to include articles about NuttX from the community. That should help silence concerns about biases & citing too much from the project's documentation. Losinggeneration (talk) 10:51, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Added neutral point of view tag edit

While very informative, I think this page is copied from the project homepage: http://www.nuttx.org/, and may not represent an unbiased point of view.
