Perhaps WS Fielding's leadership of the party should be mentioned, especially in context of the Repeal Elevtions. See the Historical journal Acadiensis (Published by the University of New Brunswick) "WS Fielding and the Repeal Elections of 1886 and 1887 in Nova Scotia."

Party Alignment

I think we may need to reassess where we place the current NS Liberals. While they're definitely fiscal centrists, and while they're further to the right than I would personally like, I think the article's current description of "Center-Right" is incorrect. At most they're centrist, and more accurately they're fiscally Center and socially Center-Left. There are other articles for provincial political parties across the country that give both a Social and Economic placing. I think that would be a good idea for this party. It would be more accurate in my opinion. Also, the only source for the current "Center-Right" description is a broken link.

Founding

The party's founding date is listed as 1883 but its listed first leader took that position in 1840. It's mentioned that the party descended from the Anti-Confederation Party - what about the Liberal Party that existed prior to the Confederation debate in the colony of Nova Scotia? Articles that discuss the Liberal Party of that era, e.g. James Boyle Uniacke link here.

Name of party in article title

The Party's official name per their own bylaws is The Liberal Association of Nova Scotia, although they're registered with Elections NS to use the name "Nova Scotia Liberal Party" and usually use this in campaigns. While I've added the other name to the article intro, should the title reflect the party's legal name or the more commonly used one? PerplexedPanda (talk) 18:50, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
