Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Merops nubicus luc viatour-crop.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on October 24, 2014. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2014-10-24. The northern carmine bee-eater (Merops nubicus) is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family. Native to Africa, the species is predominantly carmine in colour. Its diet consists mostly of bees and other flying insects.Photograph: Luc Viatour

Juveniles illustrated? edit

If the birds illustrated are juveniles the captions should say so.--Wetman (talk) 16:16, 24 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
