I'll review this. Ruby 2010/2013 00:23, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Davies added that he was fond of the characters in Northanger Abbey and believed Jones' casting as Catherine was "perfect" - remove "in Northanger Abbey"
  • Done.
  • Also, this sentence can probably be moved to the casting section (since you mention Jones)
  • Done.
  • It's been a while since I saw this adaptation. Does Davies do the voice-over throughout the film, or just in the beginning?
  • Ooh, you got me. I'll have to go and check. I know the narrator is used in the beginning and at the end. - JuneGloom Talk 18:47, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
It was just those two occasions, I've rewritten the sentence so makes a little more sense.
  • "While William Beck received the role of John Thorpe, Henry's rival for Catherine's affections" - fragment
  • Hopefully fixed.
  • I know this is an error of the source, but Davies never worked with Mulligan on Pride and Prejudice (I think the writer mixed up the productions, as she was in the 2005 film). I would probably remove it (P&P I mean, not the source or Bleak House).
  • Done. I think I got mixed up with the two P&Ps too and didn't double check. - JuneGloom Talk 18:47, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

More to come. Nice work so far. Ruby 2010/2013 00:34, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • 21st Century Dublin -> Twenty-first century Dublin (try not to start a sentence with numbers, and keep century lower-case)
  • Done.
  • Same for 19th Century
  • Done.
  • Add the [sic] template - "Yes, yes, more Austin"
  • Done.
  • Reception: italicize Persuasion
  • Done.
  • film and "Northanger" is - issue with italics
  • Done.
  • Use consistent date formatting
  • I think this is done.
  • Was it shot only in August, or from August onwards? The lead and production sections contradict each other
  • Done.

Those are all the issues I could really find, so I'll place the review on hold for seven days. Great job expanding this. It's nice to see someone else improving Austen adaptations! Ruby 2010/2013 01:03, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wow, that was fast! Thank you for the review, I'll start working through it now. :) I'm hoping to expand the other 2007 ITV adaptations (Persuasion & Mansfield Park) soon and maybe Emma. - JuneGloom Talk 15:46, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Your fixes look good, so I'm happy to pass this article. You're welcome to add your name to Portal:Jane Austen/Editors. I made the portal a few months ago, and would be happy to add this article to the list of recognised content! I think your proposed expansion of the other 2007 adaptations would be great. I'm currently working on Becoming Jane, and might start cleaning up the article on Anne Elliot (my favorite Austen heroine) after that. Ruby 2010/2013 21:33, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the passing the article. I noticed the portal the other day and was going to ask if I could add my name. Although I haven't watch Becoming Jane all the way through, I did like it. The article's looking good. :) My favourite Austen heroine (Catherine Morland) doesn't have an article at the moment, so I might have to stick her on my to-do list. - JuneGloom Talk 23:26, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
That's a good idea! Surprised she doesn't have an article yet. Ruby 2010/2013 00:01, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
