Depiction of Racism... edit

On July 4, 2021, someone objected to the description of the race of the main character in the Plot description. Quote: "Black gangster? Really? He's just a gangster. Cool it with the racism."

In this film, the racism the main character is forced to contend with, the racism displayed by other characters, and the systemic racism endured by the black population of Detroit are all important and deliberate elements of the movie, as well as underlying drivers of the plot.

To leave out the race of the protagonist (and other characters) is to ignore this element of the film.

If a description of the main character as a 'black gangster' or similar is considered pejorative, as it might be, how best to include appropriate information in the Plot description? Talencio (talk) 00:23, 5 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Lowen's rules of the game edit

add the bit of talk that Lowen had with Goynes and Russo about the rules of the game which clearly defines how things work in the bigger than big world of power. 136.181.197.252 (talk) 13:27, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
