Vandalism? edit

"Meals on Wheels program. A program in which the poor take to the streets commandeering vehicles to hunt down and eat the rich"

What? Margheritapizza 10:39, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

This really confused me too. Even though I have never seen "Meals on Wheels", after reading the page on Meals on Wheels it isn't about what has been said in this article. Seems like vandalism to me. --Zoton2 19:25, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Goofs? edit

The Lard Lad Doughnuts sign from the simpsons is a parody of the Big Boy pop culture resturant chain, if anything it'd be under pop culture references. The Pete's house of munch is a parady of many big boy's locations.Michael Cook 02:08, 26 March 2007 (UTC) Wow just minutes after i posted this it was changed good job guys. Gil Gerard edit

Is he dead or isn't he, his wikipedia page says so, but i'm trying to find sources and i can't i'm removing the item.

Scarejew & Jon Stewart edit

Heres the quote for that section, can someone put it into the page, under plot and cultural reference? I'm no good at editing. Peter:"Look Lois, I made a Scarejew." [puts up Hitler scarecrow] Mort: "Ahh! Oh my God! Hitler's back!! Protect Jon Stewart, he's our most important Jew!!" Expert10 09:42, 26 March 2007 (PST)

Photograph edit

What actor's picture did Peter use as evidence that cool people are not in wheelchairs? Hoof Hearted 13:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mark Harmon

Thanks. I added this to the article. Hoof Hearted 17:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rat physiology edit

I don't know if this fits in with these types of articles, but rats cannot vomit as is shown in the kitchen with Stewie. Ratbehaviour.org seems like a good source if this is relevant. 70.66.9.162 06:49, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Interesting, don't know if it relevant though but who knows, maybe it is.

Fair use rationale for Image:MealswheelsFG.jpg edit

Image:MealswheelsFG.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Come on edit

In an episode where a giant made up of handicapped people fire exploding cripples, do we REALLY need a note saying 'You can't make a rat vomit'? Lots42 (talk) 16:24, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Peter: Buy a bolt and shut that trap of yours? Lois: What? Peter: What?" Best throw-away line in the entire episode! Macshill (talk) 11:05, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

All the carpet ripping jokes (vagina pubic hair) between Lois and Glenn. Comedic gold! Macshill (talk) 11:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cult Refs edit

I would have to disagree on this paticular cultural references not being a trivia section. Lots42 (talk) 13:37, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Patrick Stewart voice? edit

Did Patrick Stewart actually do his own voice for the episode? JDS2005 (talk) 04:59, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cultural references edit

  • A parody of the Superfriends is shown where the various superheroes are from the country of Mexico and are illegally keeping more than the 5 person limit to reside in the Mexican Hall of Justice.
  • In the middle of the show Peter talks about the time Ben Stiller helps him find his true self, Stiller is portrayed as of having giant ears. When Stiller is gone, Peter says "His movies are terrible". Stiller was voiced by himself, but was uncredited.
  • At the beginning of the episode, an enraged Tyra Banks sheds her skin, revealing a giant iguana which devours a displeased America's Next Top Model contestant. This is a reference to Tyra's infamous aggressive behavior toward a misbehaving contestant.
  • At the store, Stewie finds an "on the Raggedy Ann" doll, that speaks phrases as if it has PMS.
  • Brian recalls the time when he and his African American roommate were watching the verdict in the O.J. Simpson murder case. Brian was shocked by the "Not Guilty" verdict while his roommate was thrilled, reflecting the racial split of public opinion about the trial. The scene ends with them pulling a gun on the other then stating maybe they should get new roommates.
  • Peter's statue at Big Pete's House of Munch is a parody of the Big Boy statue.
  • The show makes a reference to the theme song to Maude and adds more historical references than already existed in the tune (Madame Curie, Clara Barton, Susan B. Anthony, Pocahontas, Indira Gandhi, Babe Zaharias, Amelia Earhart and Cleopatra are added to the lyrics).
  • Peter makes a commercial (directed by M. Night Shyamalan), in which Peter (a la The Sixth Sense) tells a man by his bedside table that "I see good food at competitive prices... at Big Pete's House of Munch! Stop on by!", but says he couldn't air it because "it turns out M. Night Shyamalan was involved with 9/11".
  • Peter makes a reference to M.C. Escher in a parody of MC Hammer. The setting of the video was based on Escher's Relativity.
  • Peter rudely insults a customer after he is asked whether the restaurant accepts the Discover Card, poking fun at the card's relatively smaller merchant network.
  • The episode makes a reference to Liza Minnelli when Stewie talks about her in a Playboy shoot; the shot shows her extremely overweight and asking for her mother's (Judy Garland) acceptance.
  • During a montage of Peter in a wheelchair, "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues" by Elton John is playing which was done in honor of his 60th birthday since it aired on March 25th.
  • The "CrippleTron" sequence is a parody of many Japanese programs that feature smaller robots morphing into a larger one, such as Voltron and Super Sentai and its American counterpart, Power Rangers.
  • At the end of the show, after Peter apologizes, Joe invites him to watch Grey's Anatomy to which Peter replies "Boy Joe, I gotta tell ya, that sounds awful". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.55.197.138 (talk) 15:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • At the store, Herbert's supplies are clearly based on a 4D Pedo Bear trap he uses. Macshill (talk) 22:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • I'm watching this episode and they censored that Discover Card reference. They mute Lois' off-camera dis. They just muted it so the guy asks Peter if he'd accept it, Peter looks right (of the camera) and says no he will not. Did Discover flex some muscles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macshill (talkcontribs) 22:43, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
