Talk:Nintendo Campus Challenge

possible incorrect location edit

I can't say for sure, but I think the 9/23/91 event was held at State University of NY at BINGHAMTON, not Albany. I know Binghamton had the event because I played in it and almost won, getting beaten by someone who stole my strategy, and only because I didn't get to Dr. Mario before the tine ran out and therefore was DQed even though my score was much higher. Since Binghamton is not on this list at all, and there is no other place for it to be date-wise, I am guessing it was where the Albany one was. I don't want to make the edit since I don't know for sure that it wasn't in Albany too, but I can say with 100% certainty that some time in mid-late September, it was in Binghamton. I have photos of the leaderboard with my name at the top...just 15,000 less than the eventual overall winner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.67.106.1 (talk) 10:19, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I did a quick search with the queary "Nintendo Campus Challenge" "Albany" and "Nintendo Campus Challenge" "Binghamton", but I can't seem to find anything. I'll do some more searching, and possibly contacting Nintendo themselves if need be.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 00:39, 14 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Similarly, I wonder if perhaps the 4/29/91 event was held at Purdue University rather than Indiana University, or if it was held between the UM and IU events. I competed in the event at Purdue, but I have nothing other than my memory and the comment from this thread by someone else who competed there (it's the third comment on the page). My memory matches his description exactly: they had trailers they used for the competition that were set up on one of the malls, probably off State Street for higher visibility. With so little actual info, I don't have anything to add myself, but maybe this will jog someone else's memory and they can add it. Zlionsfan (talk) 02:02, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
