Overt Bias? edit

Hey, not seeing any examples of the over bias mentioned in the maintenance template. Any issues with removing it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.16.139.75 (talk) 01:21, 12 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Tense edit

Shouldn't it be past tense? Partially because that's how things are typically documented in an encyclopedia, and partially because its no longer being programmed for? Thoughts? Sergecross73 msg me 17:08, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Looking over some examples, it looks like you're right if you're detailing tech specs like this. I guess I'm more used to writing aspects that are documents more as "had happened" than "what they are". I still wonder if some of the talk of developers should be past tense though, due to it being a "dead" system, not actively being worked on. Sergecross73 msg me 17:14, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Sergecross73:As I detailed in my essay draft that I posted on your Talk page, even the very premise of a "dead" system is fallacious. There's no such thing. Society holds an air of absolute nostalgia, with a heavy helping of materialistic condemnation based on the premise that the dominant market trends actually represent omnipotent knowledge. That's totally false and illogical. It's our job to combat and undo that. Unlike with so many other obvious neutrality corrections, Wikipedians are totally chiming in with the rest of the world's misconception of grammatical tense, cranking it out unchecked and unguided. "how things are typically documented in an encyclopedia" means that yes, they're typically wrong (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). I will have the essay WP:TENSE extended to include these particular knowledge domains and use cases ASAP. I mean surely you can see that the declaration of no activity is an existential judgment, implying omnipotence.  :) The issue requires occasional finesse but usually it's straight illogical nostalgia. — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 17:30, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Tag me when you officially put your parts into an essay, so I can follow that discussion and learn more about this... Sergecross73 msg me 19:47, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Sergecross73:Oh you know it, brother. You da man. I am trying to cram everything into it, and then possibly reduce the rant flavor! ;) You've prompted me to finish it quite a bit just now. — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 19:54, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Can someone correct the 640x480 resolution parts? edit

I am just pointing out that rendering at a low resolution and stretching it to 640x480 is very different from rendering at 640x480. Sorry I don't time to find sources that can be cited but here is a overview to start from if anyone has time https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/4vgd91/contrary_to_popular_belief_very_few_n64_games_ran/d5y9ov0/ Habanero-tan (talk) 19:23, 13 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
