Sequel?

Where is the info on the sequel (Ninja Scroll 2)?. -- Psi edit

Scroll?

I see ninjas but no scroll. Where's the scroll? Jigen III 09:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Popularity in Japan

It seems this film may not be as popular in Japan as it is in the West, since it doesn't have an entry in the Japanese Wikipedia. The following statement is therefore in doubt: "Ninja Scroll is without a doubt, one of the most influential anime movies ever made, along with its rivals Akira and Ghost in the Shell." soundtrack

probably should go into its own article when it get's big enough.--Dangerous-Boy 06:02, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Which infobox should be used?

This article currently uses the manga/anime infobox, but I think that the film infobox would be more appropriate since it allows more info to be put into it. What do you guys think? If nobody has any objections, I'll change it myself eventually. Esn 23:30, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I think film box should be used since it's an anime film but if you decide to change don't leave out any of the info the current box.--Dangerous-Boy 20:09, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I see that it was changed. One more thing - should the Film ratings infobox be used perhaps, instead of stating that info in the opening paragraph? Esn 01:39, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes.--Dangerous-Boy 08:23, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Quotes

Would it be important to add some quotes from the movie? 72.197.133.100 19:31, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Comic

I've redlinked an entry at: Ninja Scroll (comics). Some resources [1] [2] (Emperor 00:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC))

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 19:35, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Plot

That plot section needs cutting A LOT. It is a plot summary, not a description of the whole movie. I know someone probably worked hard on writing it, but it is way to big for the article.Loki at6 08:02, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

I agree, but I love this movie too much to get rid of anything myself - it is so brilliantly detailed! I almost feel like spinning off an article about each of the Demons in the movie, and how each gets killed, with details of each battle interspersed (a similar thing has been done with all of the traps in the Saw movies). That way, the plot outline can focus on PLOT, and a separate article can have all the fight and demon details (as well as the details about the relationships between the demons). This in itself, would be a relevant article and would trim the plot summary to Wikipedia standards. Anyone got the time to do it? --DreamsReign (talk) 23:05, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I would have to warn you about such spin-off articles. They would be easy fodder for an AfD, and would likely fail WP:N and WP:NOR, among other policies. On the contrary, this type of contribution would be welcome on any fansites out there, and you may be interested in looking into whether a Wikia wiki exists for the Ninja Scroll universe and contributing there. —Dinoguy1000 19:54, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Japanese Golem

I think there should be citation about the Japanese Golem and Blind Assassin in the intro paragraph as I could find no information on a Japanese Golem anywhere seeing as how they're Hebrew in origin. Hearing talk about a live action film - any credible sources?--96.252.106.228 (talk) 16:46, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Tessai obviously isn't a golem -- a lump of animated river clay brought to life through Kabala magic -- I can only assume the author used the word because he or she thinks Tessai vaguely looks like one, though why they didn't use an actual Japanese description, like Ishi no Oni (石の鬼), is beyond me. I'd change it to "Stone Demon" or some other rough translation instead of bring Jewish mythology in to confuse things. Himeyuri (talk) 16:40, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Jubei doesn't bang the Kagero, but still lives?

I don't get it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.255.10.19 (talk) 04:43, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
