- The Guardian link doesn't seem to work any more. 1938 was the year the Ikoyi Club 1938 was founded, but it was a merger of two clubs, one of them a pre-existing golf club, so the tournament may be older. There is no mention of this event on the long list of current tournaments on the club's site, so it appears that it is either defunct, or has moved to a different venue.
