Dancing with the Stars edit

Reading WP:UNDUE weight, it is pretty aparent that inserting HUGE tables tracking every minute detail of an appearance on Dancing with the Stars are placing way too much emphasis on a minor point in Nash's life and career. Until policy based (and not "other articles have tables") rationale can be provided, it will continue to be removed. Active Banana (talk) 17:51, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You did not revert to name calling editors kill me, its always your way or the highway. Fine, delete whatever you want. Why don't you delete the whole article? --Mjrmtg (talk) 18:18, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Because the other content appears to be presented in proportion to what third parties have covered about the topic. And it is not MY way, it is following the guidelines and policies that the entire Wikipedia community has agreed upon are the best to guide the project to building a great encyclopedia. If you want to create a fansite for Nash or or Dancing with the Stars that covers every gritty minute detail of her appearance on the show, feel free to do so somewhere else, but do not use Wikipedia to create that fansite. I am not covering every gritty minute detail of the show. It was just a table of her dances on the show, like other celebrities including Pamela Anderson, Evan Lysacek, Nicole Scherzinger, Melissa Joan Hart, Louie Vito, Aaron Carter, Joanna Krupa, Kelly Osbourne and Donny Osmond all have on their pages.
Again, the fact that other articles currently suck and are filled with trivial fancruft and that we are partially failing in our attempt to make encyclopedic articles is not a policy reason for including fancruft in other articles.
Make an arguement that for some reason that a table taking up a third of the article space to show that she did the cha-cha on week three and freestyle to "99 bottles of Beer on the Wall" on week four is somehow proportionately that important to understanding Nash and her career and we can return the content. I dont think that there is any convincing arguement. Active Banana (talk) 15:59, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is there any othe editor/reader that would like to see a table on Niecy's page? An admin on my page said all that is needed is consensus. Nobody is talking about 99 bottle of anything. --Mjrmtg (talk) 16:24, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

It takes consensus based on Wikipedia policy, and the way you would get me to join your consensus is to provide some reasoning that including the table is somehow not a violation of WP:UNDUE. (and note that WP:CONSENSUS is not merely a vote) Active Banana (talk) 16:46, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Changing Name to Niece Nash-Betts edit

Niece Nash's last name is now Nash-Betts. This should be updated, with a redirect page created for Niece Nash to Niece Nash-Betts. Travis H. O. (talk) 20:33, 11 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
