Fair use rationale for Image:NeitBuilding.jpg edit

Image:NeitBuilding.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Possible copyvio edit

I think the History section currently contains a copyright violation of the school's website, so it might need to be rewritten. 71.113.45.247 (talk) 23:59, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was probably put there by the provost 173.69.35.239 (talk) 04:05, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

(original section-poster here) Hopefully someone is willing to rewrite this section so it sounds less like an advertisement (it even uses some first-person). Normally I'd just do it per WP:BOLD, but I'm a terrible writer and would probably do more harm than good in rewriting the section. 71.231.76.242 (talk) 08:23, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Degrees edit

We do not list degree programs per WP:UNIGUIDE. You may summarize it (e.g. 23 B.S., 4 M.S., and 1 Ph.D.), but you may not list every single program... Wikipedia is not a directory. Sidewalkbrandingco has made a legal threat to me by stating "the attorneys at the college would like to discuss your edits with you", and then wants me to contact this person at their email address (which belongs to the school). The school does not own this article, so an email is not going to happen. I'm weighing the decision on whether or not to report this to an administrator. And one final thing – my name is spelled Corky, not Cork[e]y.. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 17:17, 5 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Revisited edit

@Stephnie-Anderson: Please don't add detailed listings of degree programs. As Corkythehornetfan said above four years ago, our recommendations and standard practices for college and university articles are that individual degree programs should not be listed in favor of a brief, high-level summary of available degrees e.g., 23 B.S., 4 M.S., and 1 Ph.D. degree program. We do not listing each and every program. ElKevbo (talk) 13:48, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
