Since I created this article, it has been edited for POV, which is probably OK. However, one result of this edit was that the second half of a paragraph was left dangling without a reference point, i.e. the part about the show not being broadcast beyond the Midland and London areas.

However, the wholesale substitution of Britain/British for England/English can't be right. As a native, and a Northeastener to boot, I know how regional humor can be. I doubt if Jewish and Irish jokes of the kind typically heard in England will be heard in, say, Scotland or Ireland, any more than Sassenach jokes will be heard in Surrey. Thus I'm changing that particular word back to England, as well as fixing the dangle. Djdaedalus 17:25, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

I was brought up in central Scotland and I'm sure I can remember the series (otherwise why would I look it up). Does anybody know if it was shown on STV or am I just remembering the spin-off movie version? Zagubov (talk) 20:20, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Missing Comma

The title needs a comma after the word Quality. Otherwise,it makes no sense, grammatically. I tried to move it but it needs an admin. Please. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 19:26, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Coverage of broadcast

Tyne Tees was the regional broadcaster, if it was on Tyne Tees according to the listings then it was being broadcast in the North East of England. I watched this programme as a child in the North East of England.
