Talk:Nevan

True, but edit

Yes, Nevan was just a boss battle in Devil May Cry, but it's still something to note in Irish history and belief. And now that you mention it, Nevan is also a weapon you can obtain in DMC3. I think it's cool how Capcom named a boss after an Irish saint. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.24.240 (talk) 23:28, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I can't seem to find any evidence that there was ever a saint Nevan or Naomhan at all. The citation listed doesn't even support the claim that there was a irish saint, whether actually real or just folklore. It's just a baby names website with the unverified (but probably true) etymology of Nevan meaning little saint. I think this page should just be deleted unless someone can give any source at all that St. Nevan/Naomhan existed or has any folklore surrounding him. T0afer (talk) 20:32, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

We really don't need this page edit

Nevan in DMC3 is only a boss character, who appears in a total of two cutscenes. She's not a notable character, nor does she have any inherent impact on the plot. This page should be scrapped. --Boradis 22:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I just reverted this to the most fact-based version about the Irish saint. No need to delete it, but I'm going to keep an eye on it to make sure other obsessive 'Devil May Cry' fans (like myself) don't try to recontextualize it. --Boradis 22:24, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
