Supported Platforms

Under the Supported Platforms section, Windows XP Pro is not included. I thought that eDirectory was supported on XP - my school uses eDirectory with Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstations. Or am I misinterpreting it, and it's supposed to mean it will run on those servers, and it is not a list Operating Systems that can connect to it? If so, I think this needs to be clarified. --Tech Nerd 01:01, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

eDirectory itself does not run on the XP or any other Windows non server OS for that matter. eDirectory is normally installed on a server and accessed from a workstation via the Netware Client, LDAP or by some other means. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.141.182 (talk) 16:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Citation for "HPCWire"

I have not been able to verify the following citation made in this article:

These are my findings:

• The page at http://www.taborcommunications.com/archives/18242.html makes no mention of its author or the party responsible for its publication.
• There is an image at the top of the page that contains the logo of Fujitsu, which links to http://www.tgc.com/sponsors/fujitsu/909.html.
• According to DNS and WHOIS queries I perfomed on 24-Jan-2010 at 02:15 EST (and supported by visiting the web pages at the roots http://www.taborcommunications.com/ and http://www.tgc.com/), the two host names www.tgc.com and www.taborcommunications.com refer to the same address and are owned by Tabor Communications, Inc. based in San Diego, CA.
• The citation attributes the article to "HPCWire." HPCWire is an actual publication, located at http://www.hpcwire.com/ and published by Tabor Communications, Inc. This is supported by WHOIS query on www.hpcwire.com.
• When searching for "sun passes billion-object performance test" (with quotes) on the HPCWire website, I was unable to obtain any results.
• Wikipedia maintains no page for HPCWire.

Based upon these findings, I feel there is some reasonable doubt as to the reliability of this reference with respect to its publication status. I cite the lack of any stated author or publisher on the page itself in support of this claim. I furthermore feel there is doubt as to the credibility of this reference. I cite the dubious inclusion of the Fujitsu logo without any link to the corporate website of Fujitsu, the hosting of the page on the corporate website of the publisher instead of on the website of the publication, and the potential obscurity of the publication itself in support of this claim. Netware Name Service

In the article Netware, it is stated that the Netware Name Service was started with Netware 3.x version. Is Novell Directory Service is an upgrade of Name Service? Even if it is not an updgade, should we mention about the Netware Name Service in this article? --Vssun (talk) 04:55, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
