Suggested source edit

The sources for this article are not particularly recent. Athens at the margins: pottery and people in the early Mediterranean world by Nathan T. Arrington (ISBN: 0691222665) might be a good and relevant recent source. TheLieberProf (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 00:48, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@TheLieberProf: thanks for the suggestion – I will try to get access to Arrington! When I wrote this article in 2019, his book hadn't been published... Caeciliusinhorto-public (talk) 12:26, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Two photos with the inscription are mirrored edit

The greek word for Nestor is "Νεστωρ" . In the photos is in the rigth side and from end to start . Please mirror the photos with the inscription . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.166.183.251 (talk) 18:29, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

The inscriptions are depicted correctly in the images; as the article says, the Nestor's cup inscriptions are written right-to-left, rather than the more common left-to-right. You will notice that the cup is shown in this orientation in all of the images in Commons:Category:Cup of Nestor (Pithecusae) Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 19:26, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
