I have listed neigong as a form of qigong in the see also section of that article. If that is correct, it should be noted here. If not, then the annotation on the other article should be corrected. -- Beland 20:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

The word "breathing" in the intro links to the qigong article. The terminology is kind of tricky, while I agree that neigong is a style, or a subset, of qigong, there are those who claim the word neigong itself is older than the word qigong which they say was only coined as a term relating to breathing exercises in the 20th century. As with so many other older Chinese practises, there is so little reliable documentation in English as to whether or not that is true that I intentionally left it ambiguous. If you would rather have the link more direct, though, that would be fine with me. --Fire Star 火星 17:33, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

There seem to be significant overlap between neigong, neijin, neijia and qigong. They all refer to components of the same system. I don't think it make sense to keep them as separate articles. Yel D'ohan (talk) 17:20, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Neijin and Neijia have been combined already. While there is definitely merit of putting neigong as a form of qigong. Iserlon (talk) 20:30, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
If people had stayed with the definition provided by the (only) cited source Ng 2016, instead of trying to turn this internal development topic into a martial arts topic, there would have been no confusion. That was not the case. 14.2.198.12 (talk) 11:42, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
