Definition of Expression edit

Typically British (UK) expression of a person without means of support, aka Vagabond, but also implied when marriage is contemplated between lovers of differing family classes. see definition here. Richard416282 (talk) 16:51, 18 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed move or delete edit

The result of the proposal was move per request. Regarding deletion, that would involved a different forum, and of course, redirection requires nothing more than boldness.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 01:20, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ne'er do wellne'er-do-well — Wiktionary lists this term as "ne'er-do-well" (i.e. with hyphens) rather than "ne'er do well". Doing a Google search shows that nine out of the top ten results write it with hyphens. The one that doesn't is a book title, and clicking through to that shows that the front of the book writes it with hyphens anyway. Therefore I think that this article should be moved if it is to remain on Wikipedia. A case may be made to remove it completely, since it really just lists a dictionary definition followed by links to three relevant articles, and may not be considered appropriate for an encyclopaedia. leevclarke (talk) 06:04, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Support page move, although I would really prefer redirecting this to The Ne'er-do-Weel, as this is nothing but a dicdef. Powers T 14:59, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. There's apparently a page called Ne'er Do Wells, so I suppose it's enough to justify keeping the dab page. Recognizance (talk) 01:04, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
