Currently #51 on this list, "Owls Head" in Hebron, does not seem to exist. The link leads to a blank page, suggesting the target page was moved. As such, I cannot verify there is any such place. It almost seems as though this was a place mistakenly attributed to Hebron, since there is Owl's Head, the mountain, in Franconia, but on the page for Owl's Head, there's no mention of it being registered on the NRHP. The coordinates given also point to the shore of Newfound Lake, IN Hebron, but not near the address given. Suggest it be removed unless someone else can verify there is an Owls Head in Hebron, or that Owl's Head in Franconia is what is should be. ClarityNHZach (talk) 20:34, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
- I put this listing in last fall, and now I can find no evidence for why I did so. It doesn't show up in the weekly listings since 2013. It won't show up in the Focus database, because that only runs up to 2012. I'm sure we all wish the NRHP would get it together and have a single database for these things. - There are at least three summits in the White Mountains named "Owls Head". Besides the one with the article in Franconia, there is one in the town of Carroll and one in the town of Benton. Having been to the ones in Franconia and Carroll, I doubt there's anything historic about them. The one in Benton overlooks the highway in Oliverian Notch, but again I would be surprised if there was any historic structure on it. --Ken Gallager (talk) 13:01, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
