Talk:National Empowerment Television

Untitled edit

This artice about National Empowerment Television, as written, is a right-wing propaganda piece dedicated to revising the facts about a sordid, right-wing propaganda outlet.

Upon reading it, I looked to see if the article's veracity and lack of citations has been called into question.

It hasn't, but it needs to be.

Relationship with current "America's Voice"? edit

As of April 2020, there is a web site americasvoice.news, which is some sort of right-wing organization. Is it related to the subject of this article? --Macrakis (talk) 16:18, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Americasvoice.news is the site of "Real America's Voice" now, and is quite high-profile, quite notable, (and quite notorious), with the likes of: Steve Bannon, Jack Posobiec, John Solomon.
There is a disclaimer at the top of this entry that National Empowerment Television is "[n]ot to be confused with the current day television network with a similar format, Real America's Voice", yet later in the article it's made clear that "America's Voice News" was bought out and renamed as "Real America's Voice." So, "not to be confused"? One is a later incarnation of the other.
Meanwhile, there is no page (nor even a redirect) for "Real America's Voice" on wikipedia.
And FWIW, in https://americasvoice.news/about/ it mentions that:
> Real America’s Voice is a wholly owned subsidiary of Performance One Media LLC.
The wiki entry said that a company named E-Cine owned Real America's Voice, providing this link:[1] . Yet, at that link (and at americasvoice.news/about/) the owner is stated to be Performance One Media, LLC and no mention is made of E-Cine -- and I have so corrected the entry to reflect this. Additionally, I excised this promotional text regarding Real America's Voice (WP:PEACOCK):
> It states that they are a platform which supports the real voice of Americans. A place to keep the listener and viewer at the center of the story during a time when traditional values continue to be trampled upon by conglomerate news networks. Where interaction between the hosts and the public is encouraged.

Please note if the channel ceased operations in the introduction edit

The first paragraph is written in past tense, suggesting the channel is now defunct. However, no mention is made in first paragraph (which is typical of Wiki articles). In other words, I can't easily tell if the channel is existent or not. GebienD (talk) 02:21, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
