Talk:Nasopharyngeal airway

Lead Section edit

In the lead section where it's stated that the nasopharyngeal airway goes into the nasal passage, I would like to add that it extends all the way through into the posterior pharynx which is where the end of the tube sits.

This simply goes more into detail and gives the reader a better visual and explanation of things. KMorales34 (talk) 18:15, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

I also think that the mention of a patient being unconscious and their tongue sliding back and obstructing the airway should possibly be removed because this is when an OPA would be used not an NPA. This does introduce the idea of airway adjuncts in general, but it does not necessarily supply the reader with information regarding NPAs which could lead to misinformation. Maybe more depth after 'NPA is one of the available tools' — Preceding unsigned comment added by KMorales34 (talkcontribs) 19:21, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
