Fair use rationale for Image:Final fantasy and final fantasy 2.JPG

Image:Final fantasy and final fantasy 2.JPG is being used on this article. Another well presented discography article, some small points before passing:

• Where is Sugoshiyoshi? There's no article, which is fair enough, but there must be one for the area it's in.
• "a girl working for Square asked" Squaresoft employed children? Could you give the reader a hint about what Square is without them having to click the link?
• Do you have sources for the tracklists? In earlier articles I remember that these were cited.

That's it, I can see no other issues with fair use rationales, neutrality or stability. Someoneanother 17:14, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

An Call?

I did a little searching on Google, and I went through the track listings, but I couldn't find this track. It's mentioned in the concept and creation section that it was Uematsu's favourite FF track. Am I missing something here or is it nonexistent? Maybe it was called something else? The Prince (talk) 21:56, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Marked it out, because I can't seem to figure out what he meant. Maybe it was "On call", and was a mistranslation for something else, but that's way too much of an OR stretch if I can't find another source. --PresN (talk) 03:00, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Unreliable sources?

It seems like the references for the track listings come from unreliable sources; [1] seems more like a fansite than anything else. Does anyone have proof that it's reliable? If not, the CDs do have pages from RPGfan, so they can be replaced. However, RPGfan has only to English translations. I don't believe it's too huge of a problem if the Romanizations left out; the BC/LO section of Discography of Final Fantasy VII did that. Any comments? BC/LO was released with english track names, btw. The cites can be moved to rpgfan without removing the romanizations- A translation between two Japanese languages would be cited to a dictionary, if anything. --PresN (talk) 14:56, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I believe that it is perfectly accurate, but it doesn't meet any sort of criteria for a "reliable source", it's just some guy's fansite. I'm going to have to remove/replace it in any article I take to FAC. --PresN (talk) 20:16, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

While on the subject, what about this source: [2]? It's a fansite/blog thing, but I'm not sure if it can be called reliable or not. Not only can translations get messed up, but we don't know if it was made up or purposely translated incorrectly, etc. It's not by an official newsgroup, so is it safe to say it should be removed? I'd leave it, I'll cross-correlate it with other sites when I get a chance, but whether the site is an RS or not it's correct information. If you want to remove it, remove the link to the site but leave the cite to the liner notes themselves- the fact that most readers of this wikipedia can't read the original source isn't grounds to remove it. Think of it this way- you can cite books (which people have to go find to make sure the info is there) and you can cite foreign language books (which not only do they have to find, but probably can't read). If a translation for a foreign-language source is available, who does it hurt to include it? --PresN (talk) 16:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Reception and legacy section

Isn't better move the critical reception to the respective albums like Music of Final Fantasy XIII article? A section just with the legacy is better to the layout of the article. T.R.Elven (talk) 02:18, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

It would be better; I wrote this article a good while before I switched to integrating the reception in with the albums in video game music articles, and I never went back to these older ones to make them align. Feel free to rearrange the article if you want! I'm unlikely to get around to it anytime soon. Always good to have someone else interested in VG music articles! --PresN 04:00, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
