Source for claim of Mushuau Innu and Naskapi connection? edit

Regarding the following statement:

"The Mushuau Innu and the Naskapi tribe were once the same people, speaking the same dialect and writing in syllabics, but split off and headed to Eastern Labrador, probably for sustainability reasons."

I have struggled to find another historical source that makes this claim. If there is a source for this, it would be a good addition to this claim as it appears that it's a claim restricted to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smidkiff1776 (talkcontribs) 00:12, 11 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
