Expansions table edit

Anyone interested in transfering and inserting the adjustable expansions table from the German Munchkin article into this one? Yours --Lino Wirag (talk) 12:18, 21 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I loved the game, the card game that is. It have the interesting of RPGs like vampire, but I would rather find one a little more similar to White Wolfs WereWolf. I will have to admit thou- -This is like how people play D&D. I am interested in a team game that does not get cornie. This is D&D, vampire, and all- -with the backstabbing of other players. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alnair1 (talkcontribs) 19:40, 7 April 2005 (UTC)Reply

I believe, Munchkin Bites! and Munchkin Fu are meant to be played as extension with the original Munchkin. Perhaps the article should be changed to reflect this... Looked it up, article is right. It is common practice to play the different versions together (and this is also intended), but officially they are different versions. --84.178.110.162 (talk) 18:37, 27 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Added Munchkin 5 "De-Ranged" and Epic Munckin, although I don't think that is a product as such as a set of official house rules for extended play? FelixNZ 05:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Isn't Epic Munchkin a rules expansion included in Munchkin Blender?
Also, though it hasnt been confirmed online anywhere I know of, Steve Jackson has said at Origins 2007 that the next themed Munchkin set is going to be Pirate-based. 69.133.194.101 (talk) 19:34, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Munchkin game cover.jpg edit

Image:Munchkin game cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Class card rules? edit

In the wiki it says "If a player draws a class card face up, he/she automatically becomes that class. If they already have one in play, he/she may choose to replace their current class and discard it, or choose to place the new class in their hand for later." I've read through my rule sheet again, and checked the official Munchkin website, and haven't found anything that says you are forced to be the class if it is drawn face up and you have no class. Whoever added that, where did you get it from? 98.247.122.45 (talk) 06:40, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You and the rules are right and the edit one year ago by FallenAngelII is wrong. I have corrected the phrase now. There was also a couple of other edits by the same user, you might want to check those. --Bamsefar75 (talk) 16:51, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Time edit

The article says that one game takes approximately 45-60 minutes, which, most of the times, is only for extremly short games. I would suggest that we replace it with eg. >45 minutes or so, much because the gameplay may take only 45 minutes, or hold on in about 8 hours or so. I see this as a mostly harmless change, and change it imediately --SakJur (talk) 10:59, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Which version of Munchkin have you been playing? I've yet to play even an epic game with multiple decks that lasts more than an hour. A note that a session can take several hours with enough cards and players is sufficient. Thatfield977 (talk) 19:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Full Rules Totally Necessary? edit

Is there a particular reason it's necessary to have pretty much the entire rules for the game here? Besides it being a potential copyright issue, there are multiple inaccuracies in the "gameplay" section. Petronivs (talk) 15:22, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

There's absolutely no reason for them. They're available online. This isn't a How To article, it's an encyclopedia entry. A basic description is all that's needed, although I can see the reason for listing races and classes in each expansion, with a short blurb. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.7.201 (talk) 15:24, 16 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I trimmed a significant amount of excessive gameplay detail out of the article; it might still need more work. Some guy (talk) 21:26, 7 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

How old is this game? edit

The lead vaguely suggests through an award that this was a 2001 game. The lead also mentions that 70% of SJG's sales were from this game in 2007, but does not indicate whether that figure is a growing or shrinking trend. Some more real-world context would be great to have in this article. Ham Pastrami (talk) 15:33, 29 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

BGG list publishing year of Munchkin as 2001. and I remember playing it at Insomnia before it closed — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.118.16.93 (talk) 12:53, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Munchkin-themed comics? edit

There is also a Munchkin Comic Book Series that is based on a game published by Boom! Studios. It has 25 issues published between 2015-2017. I wonder if this information needs to be added? Toaddoesnot (talk) 00:08, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
