I removed the category for "Towns in Kenya" because it is already in a subset category, "Towns in Eastern Province" thus making it redundant. Also, you should be more careful when reverting because you also rolled back a sorting of the stub from Kenya to Kenya-geo.--Thomas.macmillan 17:02, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Sorry for removing your stubsort, it was not my intention. When it comes to categories, the problem is whether to use formal or informal usage when referring to a "town". I have created a policy, according to which "Town by province" categories may contain any kind of settlements located in that particular province. On the other hand the main "Towns in Kenya" category is defined to contain those towns which have a town council (also, I have softened the rule such that district/county council capitals fit that category too). Therefore, I believe in this case it is justified to categorise this article under both categories. I have been contemplating that all "Town by province" categories should be renamed to "Settlements by province" to avoid this confusion Julius Sahara 18:05, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
