Replica bridge edit

Which side is the replica - up or downstream. It would help the pictures, which are taken from opposite sides. Motmit (talk) 11:33, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The original is on the downstream side and has stone quoins. The later bridge is on the upstream side and is has plain unrubbed brick quoins, which therefore have a serrated appearance. The two parallel bridges are therefore quite different in appearance, though the arches have the same span and the same skew. MegaPedant (talk) 01:30, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
