Species? edit

What is/are the species in mother of vinegar? Badagnani 01:29, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Assuming it's technically a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) What specific species? Probably many different variations. Whatever was present in the atmosphere and vinegar at the time? Gropo 21:24, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kombucha and MoV edit

Is there any evidence to suggest that kombucha has Mother of Vinegar origins?

http://www.happyherbalist.com/pictures.htm claims that adding raw vinegar to kombucha will turn it into Mother of Vinegar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SoManyWhales (talkcontribs) 16:19, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
