Hejtman/Hetman edit

Official title of hejtman in English is president (see http://www.kr-moravskoslezsky.cz/hejtman_en.html), not hetman. --Ragimiri 12:38, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm afraid that page is written in very poor English and therefore what it translates the term is not much relevant. From the historical and etymological point of view the English word for Czech hejtman is hetman. I've also written a short article on the current Czech use of this word. – Caroig 13:42, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It was formal proposal in parliament during the revision of self-governance administration that the region should be called Silesian-Moravian, as the vast majority of population live within the historical Silesia. I believe this fact should be mentioned. (I won't be putting it back on since it was deleted, I just want to put it here into discussion page for public debate) Cimmerian praetor (talk) 20:02, 16 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
