Lee Jooheon was born "Lee Hojoon" and he later changed his name to "Jihwan" before finally changing it to Jooheon.

Variety shows

I have removed "Deokspatch Time Capsule". It has only 2 episodes and serves as an extra for fans. I don't think it is relevant to be mentioned here. Also I have removed "CH.MX". It is not a variety show, more like backstage interview kind of thing, a summary of their promotional activities provided for fans. "Deokspatch" and all it's following seasons still need reliable sources, I tried my best but couldn't find any. If anyone is interested please add some otherwise I will have to remove it.--Thebestwinter (talk) 19:51, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

No Mercy

I think this article could be improved if the "Formation and Debut" section went more in depth on No Mercy. It's an important part of Monsta x's formation but the article doesn't really reflect that. Here are some sources that may be helpful in improving it.

~ This information is not correct, the situation is still undergoing and there hasn't been any clarification. Monsta X has 7 members, not 6 ~ LemonKyu (talk) 16:16, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Please change the area that states that "Wonho" is a former member on Monsta X to "Wonho" still being a current member because his company are still undergoing conference and decisions on whether his contract will be terminated or not. There is still a chance for "Wonho" to still be in the group Monsta X. Camkaem (talk) 17:23, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

@SurveenMONBEBE: please see the multiple entries above. Monsta X is now a six-member group, as stated by Starship themselves. Alex (talk) 22:50, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 2 November 2019

There is no legitimate proof that Wonho is a past member of the group right now, Starship has not yet released any letters saying he is kicked from the group or that his contract has been terminated. Therefore i would like to request that he be put back as an active member and the introduction paragraph state that there is seven members and have his name included on that list. Monsta X Wonho !

Hello! I just wanted to say if you could PLEASE add wonho in Monsta X? I mean he’s part of it, it isn’t confirmed YET that he’s gone. And it’s also for monbebe, we’re not in the greatest mood and seeing this is very sad. We love him and he’ll always be part of it. Thank you!!! Monbebe123 (talk) 16:26, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I was also wondering if you could add Wonho back, since we’re trying and all. He’ll always be a part of MONSTA X. Thank you!! Rejectedpluto (talk) 18:08, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Add Wonho. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trooths (talkcontribs) 12:50, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Please add Wonho back to the group. The company has not confirmed his departure yet and this hurts to see. thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WonhoOT7 (talkcontribs) 21:38, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Departure of Wonho

There has been a surge of IPs and new users recently contesting the departure of Wonho, who are upset by the fact he has left the group, and is therefore attempting to change the article so that he "remains" in the current group. The article is now under semi-protection because of it.

There are already sources covering it, including the Daily Mirror source that's currently being used, though I would be careful with some of these sources, and consult WP:RSP if needed:

Last source covers the fans reactions about it:

To all of the new users coming from another website: Wikipedia summarizes the article based on reliable sources. There are already sources listed showing that he already left Monsta X, and so the article has been changed to reflect that. You are welcome to keep making edit requests requesting that he be placed back on the current group, but you must back it up with another reliable source that directly supports your rebuttal and not based on your own opinions. See also the Wikipedia:Five pillars for the summarized version of Wikipedia's fundamental policies. I'll leave the remaining edit requests unanswered for someone else to review. theinstantmatrix (talk) 04:37, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

The group may be promoting as 6 members there has been no official statement from Starship Entertainment that they terminated the contract. The group still consists of 7 members. Only online media outlets stated that the company terminated the contract with Wonho. Therefore the information of the group only consisting of 6 members is invalid. It should state 7. Monbebe24 (talk) 18:18, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
@Monbebe24: It appears you aren't being truthful. Please read the above message again. There are dozens of sources stating otherwise; changing the article back in a futile attempt to suppress the emotional pains coming from this isn't going to do you any good now, and to me, that only tends to make things worse. You also appear to disregard the official statement made at Twitter that has the following:
After a long discussion with MONSTA X's member Wonho, we have agreed that it's best to part ways amicably at this point.
Wonho will not attend any schedule from today and MONSTA X will continue with this week's scheduled music broadcast as a six-member band.
theinstantmatrix (talk) 20:32, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

The protection has now expired and already IPs and new users are editing it back despite this message above. If more users keep disruptively changing Wonho back to being the "current" member despite sources saying otherwise, the article may be semi-protected again for a longer period of time. theinstantmatrix (talk) 23:55, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

I would like for you to inclued that wonho is now startong a solo career, and is still in contact with everyone in monsta x, to comfirm this you could look at the news articals of wonho having dinner with them or a post from one of hyungwon's page and him apaligizing for it. I would also like to imform you that joohoen is now back after his mental health break and because of this on of his old solo songs has been getting a lot of attention from fans, the song is called "Red Carpet" (It's a great song i completly recomend). Now the group is coming out with a mini album. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8801:d800:11a6:18be:edd5:98f7:4c7e (talk) 02:13, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Mini albums

In Korea, groups and soloists often drop "mini albums" that consist of anywhere between 3 to 6 or 7 songs. These need to be included as part of their Discography. Thanks! 2601:C4:C203:70A0:7195:2C50:F07D:326E (talk) 13:50, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

We call these extended plays, they are listed in the discography article, not in the section discography which should only consist of studio albums. Abdotorg (talk) 13:58, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
