I really beive that there should be a more comprehensive article on a plant this size. I would like more detailed info on 1: effects on the enviroment 2: operating status of the plant 3: contriversy caused within local comunities about the plant 4: types of machinery / systems used within the plant. I do hope someone knowledgeable will step up to this challenge.
Details - missing for 5+ years edit
I see that the gross deficiency in details about the equipment of this plant - steam pressure and temperature and so on - was first called out in 2008 - surely there must be information out there! 86.183.12.111 (talk) 12:10, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
Ranking edit
I've removed the part about Monroe being the third largest coal plant. It used to say second after Bowen, then it was changed to third after Scherer and Gibson, but the cited source doesn't list Monroe at all, and it's not in the top three. Kendall-K1 (talk) 23:17, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
