Talk:Monarchism in Iran

Los Angeles edit

Monarchists are of course suppressed within Iran, I am not sure why the article should conclude from this that "However, monarchists remain active in Los Angeles". Is Los Angeles supposed to be a synonym for the rest of the world?Royalcourtier (talk) 04:13, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've just linked LA to Tehrangeles to make the sentence clearer. -- haminoon (talk) 10:02, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Article has NPOV bias towards 'current' events edit

At the moment, the article begins "Iranian monarchism is the advocacy of restoring the constitutional monarchy in Iran, which was abolished after the 1979 Revolution.". While that's certainly true from 1979 and after, it can't be said that Iranian Monarchism meant the same thing in 1978, 1906, or in the millenia before. For example, the article on Reza Shah has a wikilink to this article with the label "2,500 years of Persian monarchy". Granted, it's redirected from "Iranian Monarchy", but I think that only highlights the problem with this article. There is little to no overlap between the subject of the Iranian Monarchy and the subject of advocacy for the restoration of the monarchy. They are different things. Either this subject needs to be split off, or the tone of this article needs to shift drastically towards covering Iranian Monarchism as a whole. See WP:RECENTISM or WP:PRESENTISM.
