"Opaque"

edit

When I read that "the eggs are opaque and have red or yellow yolks", I trust that opaque does indeed signify "opaque", that is to say, not translucent. If the red and yellow egs are visible within the egg without dissecting it, then the egg is translucent, not opaque. Cardboard is opaque. fingernails translucent.--Wetman (talk) 17:58, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

The source described the eggs as opaque so I followed suit. A hen's egg has an opaque yolk and translucent "egg white". Is it opaque? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:26, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
