The following text is on a plaque outside room 303.

FRANK SCOTT SUITE

Revitalized the Mizpah

Frank Scott's story begins when, as a young man visiting Tonopah, he fell in love with the Mizpah Hotel. To Scott, the Mizpah embodied the romance and mythology of the old West, an impression he would never forget. Over forty years later, after a career as president of a multimillion-dollar business responsible for building the Union Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, this young-man's dream was realized. He purchased the Mizpah Hotel and spent millions of dollars restoring the hotel to its former glory. He updated the Mizpah with modern amenities, acting as a bridge to the modern day, all the while preserving the antiquated romance that had first drawn him to the hotel. Unfortunately, his efforts did not prevent the Mizpah Hotel from yet again being shut down, and Frank Scott took his place in the storied annals of American dreamers bold enough to take chances and play the odds of success.

I am going to add a summary of the above to the main article.

Casino edit

As of 7 August 2022 the article says "There are plans to ... add a small casino to the property." I was in Tonopah for the 4th of July weekend and there's definitely a small casino now running in the annex building visible to the left in the main photo. (This building also houses an A&W restaurant and a function space upstairs.) I didn't get any photos or anything and am now hundreds of miles away from Tonopah; it would be better if someone more local could provide evidence for the current state of affairs.
