Untitled edit

I deleted the reference to "this car may be lost for good" as it does not appear there is any factual evidence to suggest this - it is mere conjecture.

From the video link I added, the preservation process is proceeding as of June 1998 and appears to be working to remove the rust while leaving the paint largely intact. However, the car is clearly only an artifact at this point.

I just noticed that the youtube version of the video link was previously deleted by a 'bot in September 2008. I added the original link to the New Jersey Star Ledger video on the site NJ.com (dated 6/25/08) hopefully the bots won't delete that entry.

Given the status of the vehicle in June of 2008, I think December 2008 is a little premature to declare the vehicle "lost forever".

I left in the sentance about all entries on the preservation website being deleted, as that is a factual statement. Why these were deleted, however, is presently conjecture.

Link Rot edit

I've noticed that all reference links aside from #5 are dead. I intend to scour the 'net and see if I can find any new references, but it looks a lot like it'll require a fairly substantial rewrite, as the data in the new refs may not work well with the data in the article as it stands. As I am very new to wikipedia, I'm apprehensive to go in an shred the hard work of others with my own material. That said, if the refs are dead, the data that they once held would be largely inappropriate in this medium. I'll see what I can pull together to make a decent stab at revision. Still kind of stubbish; there are a lot of details which I plan to add. I'm simply amazed that there hadn't been an article created until now!--PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
