This building is asserted to house the Minnesota Supreme Court. But there's also the conspicuous court room within the state capitol building. What's going on? — naively, Michael Hardy (talk) 04:27, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Supreme Court still hears some cases in the historic court chamber in the Capitol, however, most of the time it meets in the Judicial Center, which is where the justices have their offices. Jonathunder (talk) 13:11, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is an article for the Oklahoma Judicial Center which coincidentally was also listed on the National Register as the "Oklahoma Historical Society Building". Now here's the fun part. According to the NRHP registration form for the Oklahoma building, the building committee for that edifice traveled nationwide looking for architectural inspiration and settled upon the Minnesota building for their muse. From the Oklahoma building's registration form, page 8:

The committee selected the design of the Minnesota Historical Society Building in St. Paul as a prototype for the Oklahoma Historical Society's new building.

And from page 9:

The classical limestone building in St. Paul, Minnesota, was chosen as the model for the Oklahoma Historical Society's new building.
