Future of the page edit
Hello, I've just made some substantial edits to the page: I hope that they're okay!
I just wanted to talk about the future of the page:
- Should it be renamed to either "ministerial ranking" or "order of precedence in Cabinet"? The current page title doesn't really relate to its content.
- Should it include historical ministerial rankings? There isn't a single source for these, as far as I am aware, but exisiting sources could be compiled here. FollowTheTortoise (talk) 10:10, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- I have today moved the page from "Cabinet rank" to "Ministerial ranking" for the reasons that I gave in my move summary. FollowTheTortoise (talk) 16:57, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- For avoidance of doubt, I have also made Cabinet rank redirect to Cabinet of the United Kingdom rather than this page, as people will likely want to see what the Cabinet is, not what its order is (which is all this page has really ever been about), when they're wondering what a minister of Cabinet rank is. New ministerial ranking edit
Looks like there is a new ministerial ranking out - interestingly it places Steve Barclay - obviously reflecting his ‘beefed up’ role - as higher in the ministerial ranking than Rishi Sunak as Chancellor. Perhaps someone would like to update all the pages and cabinet articles accordingly? JLo-Watson (talk) 02:19, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
