Sorry, but is there a way to undo an incorrect merge?

"Milliken" in Toronto should not be merged with "Milliken" in the Town of Markham. They are two very separate communities belonging to different municipalities. Their community centres, schools, and community associations belong to different boards and different local governments. None of their services are linked. The article is confusing since it sometimes references the Milliken in Markham, while drawing on data from the Milliken in Toronto, and vice versa.

Although residents who live around the borders of Toronto and Markham may sometimes be confused, the two neighbourhoods are actually very distinct entities that operate under systems which are not interchangable. Due to this common misconception of the two Millikens being the same, people often arrive at the incorrect community centre, school, event, etc. Since the two communities are actually not adjacent to one another, the time it takes for someone to travel from one incorrect Milliken to the correct one actually takes approx. 30 minutes by car, causing many people to either miss events, shows, programs, or performances.

Please revert to an earlier version of both articles such that the information could be correctly separated.

Thank you!

It is possible to undo a merge (simply by reverting to the last pre-merge versions of both articles). However in this case I'm not sure that's the right answer. Because both Milliken's are related (they partially overlap at the corners) it might be best just to keep them both under this single article. However, I think it'd be cleaner if there were two seperate sections in the article for Milliken, Scarborough vs Milliken Mills, Markham. Especially because right now the stated bounds (which were apparantly compiled as an amalgamation of the two previously stated sets of bounds) covers way too much ground (Warden to Markham, 14th to Finch) and envelops the entire southern half of Markham, and the entire northern half of Scarborough. --Maelwys 11:03, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I did a bit of that division when I made a small division in he schools listing. The Toronto and Markham schools are now in different subsections. FunGuy222 (talk) 01:18, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute edit

Does anyone have any proof that any of those alumni lived in Milliken, because I know based on common knowledge in the community that Paul Bernardo's parents lived in the southern part of Scarborough until relatively recently. It sort of seems like someone just copied an old listing of notable alumni from the schools page, even though SWLCI isn't even remotely in the area. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Geoguy2011 (talkcontribs) 09:02, 29 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
