First flight date edit
According to this it flew for the first time in August 1936, and according to this was certified to fly [in the UK] in January 1937. Meanwhile, this mentions that Lindbergh was already flying it [in southern Ireland] by December 1936. I'll assume these dates are correct and change the article accordingly. - Sounds reasonable, I had originally referenced another site that listed January 28, 1937 as the first flight Miles Mohawk. FWIW Bzuk 12:48, 16 September 2007 (UTC).
The Miles Mohawk design edit
Miles aircraft were characteristically a low-wing, light aircraft, and can be described as a "classic" (defined as serving as the established model or standard) Miles design that most Miles aircraft embodied, while many of the light aircraft emanating from the United States during the 1930s, were high-wing designs, such as the Lockheed Vega. Given Lindbergh's involvement in the project and his well-known interest in aircraft design, what emerged from the collaboration was a combination of American and British elements.FWiW Bzuk (talk) 14:33, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
