User 97.118.63.3 had a concern that the 12 October 2010 revision of this article was phrased as an advertisement and flagged it as such. This section is for discussing that concern.

I think it is fair to remove the flag at this point and am doing so based on these points:

1. I asked flatterworld what I could do to improve NPOV in this article. He pointed me to a post with NPOV guidelines for candidate articles. I then implemented every point in the post that was not already in place.

2. Several other editors have since added some good work to the article so that the article has changed significantly since the flag was placed. It is also clear that editors from more than one point of view are now contributing to the article - something which will help maintain a balanced voice.

3. The article has a similar tone to many other similar articles - including articles for challengers and incumbents, Republicans and Democrats.

Shouldn't the tag be removed AFTER we have a discussion, not before? Arbor832466 (talk) 15:21, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
