Mike + The Mechanics (1999 album) → Mike & The Mechanics (album) – Relisted. Is M6 the title per WP:RS? Vegaswikian (talk) 05:43, 18 August 2011 (UTC) The wiki page should be renamed "Mike & The Mechanics (album)" or perhaps "Mike & The Mechanics (1999 album), since the title clearly contains an ampersand ("&"), unlike the 1985 eponymous album by the band. - Oppose a move to Mike & The Mechanics (album) per ambiguity with the more notable Mike + The Mechanics (1985 album). Mike & The Mechanics (1999 album) is fine. If there's evidence for usage in reliable sources other than the album cover, M6 (album) would be OK but the article's current references don't support it. — AjaxSmack 22:40, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

The reference to the title of the album need correcting. The album is NOT called Mike & The Mechanics. That title was used (with plus rather than ampersand) for the eponymous debut album. It is NOT part of the title of this album. The reference to Mike & The Mechanics on the cover is the name of the band. The title is just "M6". For confirmation of this, see the bands own discography web page http://mikeandthemechanics.com/discography/ As a consequence, the statement that:
"Mike & The Mechanics is the fifth studio album by Mike + The Mechanics, released in 1999. As the name is easily confused with the 1985 album, Mike + The Mechanics, it is also referred to as M6 (i.e., the sixth album by the group, including the Hits compilation)."
should be corrected to:
"M6 is the fifth studio album by Mike + The Mechanics, released in 1999. It is the sixth album by the group, including the Hits compilation." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldguit (talk • contribs) 11:24, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
