Tollesby is within the Acklam Ward (as in the Tollesby estate near Acklam Hall). I dont know if there is an actual ward or area south of the Constituency border called Tollesby. Could someone clarify? 82.4.107.152, 12/03/2006

I included Tollesby as election-maps.co.uk showed the area labelled by the OS as Tollesby as being part of the Kader ward, and south east of the constituency boundary (which divides the ward). It may be that the area colloquially known as Tollerby isn't the same as that marked on the Ordnance Survey maps / other online mapping. Paulleake 00:14, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Lauren Dingsdale

@RaviC: @AlexiusHoratius:, I have a question regarding the edit war that has been happening on this page. We have one of the candidate's names as "Lauren Louise De Thibault de Boesinghe" vice "Lauren Dingsdale". The references in the article today are to the official Labour website, naming her Lauren Dingsdale, and to EuroNews, which after casting some partisan aspersions on basis of her assumed nationality, quotes "I got married in June, that's where it comes from," she explains to her local paper, the Middlesborough Gazette. (that is, Dingsdale is her maiden name, De Thibault de Boesinghe is legally her married name). That source points to Teesside Live, which refers to her as Lauren Dingsdale or Ms Dingsdale. I have also been referred to another primary source which refers to her as Lauren Dingsdale. In accordance with WP:COMMONNAME, is there any justification for continuing to refer to her as Lauren Louise De Thibault de Boesinghe? ST47 (talk) 18:24, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

To be honest, I don't think it is that confusing. WP:COMMONNAME (for titles) and MOS:NAMES (for the lead sentence of the article about a person) both tell us to use the name by which a person is best known. Thankfully, @OrkneyLad1996: has sorted it out. ST47 (talk) 19:43, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

The link you put a few replies above was the Agents pdf not the Statement of Persons Nominated. That (https://www.middlesbrough.gov.uk/sites/default/files/Elections-2019-parliamentary-Persons-Nominated-Notice-Poll-Polling-Stations-Mbro-South.pdf) shows how her name will appear on the ballot paper, and it's "Dingsdale". doktorb _words^deeds 19:59, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

• What I think should be changed: In the General election 2019: Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland table, "Lauren de Boesinghe" should be "Lauren Dingsdale".
• Why it should be changed: Lauren Dingsdale ran for this seat under the name Lauren Dingsdale. Lauren de Boesinghe is part of her married name. This is not a name she has ever used politically. It was on the official paperwork as it is a name that is on her passport. It was not on the ballot paper because she was not standing under that name. This would be the same as using "Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson" rather than his chosen political name of "Boris Johnson".
