The result of the move request was: page moved. After re-reading the guideline I realise that this move was a mistake so, since I moved the article, I've reverted my move. AussieLegend (✉) 10:13, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Mid–Coast Council → Mid-Coast Council – Was moved from a hyphenated title to an endash title with the mover stating "Title should use an en dash, not a hyphen". I don't think an endash is appropriate here. Unlike Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council say, Mid-Coast is not linking two separate or independent elements, it is linking a prefix "mid" with its main term "coast" per Wikipedia:Manual of Style#hyphen. Not to mention, the proclamation creating Mid-Coast Council uses a hyphen. That said, there is evidence the new body is using CamelCase - i.e. MidCoast Council in its communication. Comment - the use of CamelCase is presumably the result of a branding exercise. In the same vein, the City of Gold Coast have branded themselves as a two line "City of" "GoldCoast." involving an exciting selection of fonts and colours and a big red full spot at the end (see [ http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/default.html]) so let's not adopt branding as a basis for Wikipedia naming. I think it suffices to present the branding/logos of the LGAs in the article, especially as these can change with each new branding exercise. Kerry (talk) 00:01, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hyphen – I've been quite the dash pedant recently, and I agree that the dual location ones (Canterbury–Bankstown, Queanbeyan–Palerang) should use en dashes, but Mid-Coast should use a hyphen. --Canley (talk) 00:17, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
