Unsolicited merger. edit

Someone has merged this page without consensus earlier, if it's presented that "the info is similar" then the information should be exactly the same, as this page also includes information for 2 distinct applications and more detailed information this page has a right to exist as it's notable enough, is more detailed and thus not copy-pasta information, and is a subject that will expand upon in the future as it's an ongoing supported piece of software, if anyone is for the merger please respond and I will respond to your arguments and see who's right. Also the user who made this page a redirect didn't know what a proper merger is, merging a page means moving the content from one page to another, as this page contains too detailed information for the Microsoft Mobile page I'd highly advise against it, further the Nokia Software Recovery Tool and the Windows Phone Software Recovery tool content hasn't been moved and isn't mentioned in the Microsoft Mobile article, in fact the who deletion of this article was based on nothing but the editor's opinion and they haven't made any arguments to support it yet.

Has anyone discussed this with the person who moved this page? <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 23:39, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yep, the person's only justification was that the introduction was too similar to the introduction on the Microsoft Mobile page, and should therefor be merged, completely ignoring the Nokia Software Recovery Tool, Lumia Software Recovery Tool, and Windows Phone Recovery Tool sections which are unique to this page, or the fact that the content here is more detailed, but I've dealt with this editor before, they have done this before, this happened to a HERE Maps related article that was blanked and redirected despite almost none of the content being in the main article, I had to restore it and move it manually, I guess that some people are just simply deletionist, anyhow if no pro merger statements are made by Monday I'll remove the template.
