– The actor was a relatively minor personality with no claim to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. He is, however, the sole "Michael Granger" with a Wikipedia entry since there is no indication that either Mike Granger or Mick Granger have been known to the public as Michael Granger. A past Talk:David Zimmer#Requested move 19 May 2015 voted to keep minor political figure David Zimmer as the primary topic of the David Zimmer (disambiguation) page because he is the sole "David Zimmer" with a Wikipedia entry. Another proposal might put forth the deletion of the Michael Granger dab page, thus eliminating the need for the qualifier "(actor)". Hatnotes would, of course, attend to any name uncertainties.     Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 18:02, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. There is no other article needing the title Michael Granger, but even if Mick and Mike needed the title, this one would still be WP:PRIMARYUSAGE.[1] - Station1 (talk) 18:59, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose leave as is. As the nom says, "The actor was a relatively minor personality with no claim to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC." if the purpose is to make us all go look at Talk:David Zimmer#Requested move 19 May 2015 then the difference is that David Zimmer is not a minor political figure but is Ontario's Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation and has multiple Gnews and Gbook mentions. "Minor" is a relative term, which is not always meant to be understood pejoratively, with many local politicians receiving multiple Gnews and Gbook mentions without qualifying for WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. However, if another David Zimmer, even if he was a forgotten 19th century cricketer, received a Wikipedia stub, the dab page would most likely return to the base name. There is no guarantee, however — a retired political figure, Bob Brown, known only in his native Australia, is still the primary topic over 21 other Bob Browns at Talk:Bob Brown#Requested move 6 January 2017.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 15:30, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. Let Michael Granger fly free. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:46, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support I'm admittedly a bit confused about some of the outside context that took place in other discussions referenced here, so I'm not going to take that part into account, and simply support per the information provided by Station1.--Yaksar (let's chat) 19:06, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Yaksar, merely a figure of speech — a shortcut to stating that the topic would not be considered primary on the basis of its own merits.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:05, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. All three persons have first name Michael, and neither is particularly famous. (In fact, they receive 7, 1, and 1 daily views respectively on average - those 7 for the actor do not a WP:PRIMARYUSAGE make, in my book). Therefore, I think the dab page is the default, least intrusive solution. No such user (talk) 10:17, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per WP:CONCISE and WP:PRIMARYUSAGE. As long as there's a hatnote, it should be just as easy and natural to find the other two articles. Talk:Jimmy McLaughlin#Requested move 12 June 2017 is another example of a case where this same sort of change was made even though Jimmy McLaughlin was not the primary topic for the name. –IagoQnsi (talk) 04:29, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
