Megalithic yard edit

Let us not have the megalithic yard / greek fathom relationship stuff added unless there is a reliable source discussing it in the context of this specific object. Hyperdoctor Phrogghrus (talk) 16:32, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree, sources must discuss the subject which is this relief and aksi note that in any case the book by Anne Macaulay is published by a publisher who says "Our adult non-fiction books cover all aspects of holistic and alternative living, including holistic health, organics and the environment, holistic education, mind body spirit, child health and development, self-help, religion and spirituality, and community living." Well, I'll hold off re-adding it until I've purchased Macaulay's book, which looks quite good really and I will argue notable if i can directly cite. I'm not seeing anything (maybe the word spirit) that looks too dubious in that publisher description. The Authors and editors certainly have a certain notability -

About the Author(s)

Anne Macaulay (1924-1998) was born in Fife, Scotland. She settled in Balerno near Edinburgh but travelled widely, surveying megalithic sites around the world. In 1994, she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Edinburgh.

Vivian T. Linacre is a surveyor based in Perth and is President of the British Weights and Measures Association.

Richard A. Batchelor, M.Sc., F.G.S. is a Research Fellow in Geology at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of Origin of St Andrews, which explores the sacred geometry of Fife.
