Talk:Mergers and acquisitions/Archives/2019

Lots of reference links to pages that are behind a paywall

References include numerous links to a transactionadvisor.com site that is behind a paywall. I've added a few "subscription required|s" but was wondering what the position is with so many links that are obviously useless to most people, people who can't verify whether the destination article is any good!

I'm new here so don't want to go making too many changes. Was wondering if someone could shed some light on how I could tidy this up.

Added: There are so, so many to this one particular site that I've concluded it must be spam and I've deleted the lot of them! — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrendaP-72 (talkcontribs) 08:53, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Propose new categories

I think we could use a Category:Merged companies and Category:Acquired companies. For reference, see Category:Mergers and acquisitions; we have Category:Mergers and acquisitions by company and Category:Companies formed by merger but they are only for post-m/a companies. Thoughts? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:23, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

I think since we also have all of the subcats in Category:Mergers and acquisitions by year the two categories you propose would be redundant. UnitedStatesian (talk)
