Notability of Melville Davisson Post

Melville Davisson Post is a critical figure in the development of the mystery novel. That there wasn't already an entry for him was quite surprising. i fail to understand why the Melville Davisson Post article is a candidate for deletion? it is factual, the author has a place in the evolution of the mystery/crime novel, and his vital statistics have been documented. A bibliography is included, and might i suggest you google "Melville Davisson Post" and you will find that he is (a) far from obscure and (b) still in print, and hence still germane. what was/is your criteria for recommending "speedy deletion"? what caused this knee-jerk reaction? oedipus (talk) 23:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by GJR (talk • contribs)

Nevins article

I have added Francis Nevins' article on MD Post as a reference. I'm sure this article was once online free in its entirety somewhere but I can't find it now - just a paywalled link. If someone can locate it online without the paywall, that would be great. Muzilon (talk) 14:03, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
