Falcon 9 expendable edit

Could note in table that the Falcon 9 full thrust in expendable mode is theoretically a heavy lift launch vehicle at 22,800 kg to LEO. - Rod57 (talk) 10:12, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Launches column not being updated edit

The number of launches is not being updated for the operational launchers (and the figures seem to be from different dates), eg. Atlas V (71) is now up to 83, Falcon 9 FT (54) is now 63 (now updated -just those two). Some articles use template values for the latest figures but they don't sort properly. - Rod57 (talk) 10:22, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Vega-C has had 2, but only says 1. Perhaps each manually edited launch count could say "as of <date>" or "to <date>" ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:01, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

H3 is in operational table despite test launch failure and another test launch scheduled edit

If any launch attempt is enough to be "operational" we could say that above the table. Is it "operational" because a real payload was onboard ? Should we change "operational" to "launch attempted" or "payload launch attempted" ? What do other launcher articles use ? Simpler to have one table with a sortable status column that can say development/test/operational/retired ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:18, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

H-IIA has LEO payload range but others just give max payload of max config edit

H-IIA has payload range (10,000-15,000) but others just give max payload of max config. Problem is that the H-IIA range sorts on the low value. For consistency can we just give the max payload of max config ? And say that on column headings or a footnote ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:32, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Rather than ranges, we could have another row for the minimum configuration of eg H-IIA, Atlas V, and any others that can have variable number of SRBs or that get down rated for reusability (eg Falcon 9). A separate row for reusable Falcon 9, helps it sort properly by payload. Any objections ? I'll remove the H-IIA low end for now. - Rod57 (talk) 13:58, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

SSO is a LEO, so can we put SSO value in a blank LEO payload field edit

SSO is a LEO, so can we put SSO value in a blank LEO payload field so there is something to sort ? For some launchers the max LEO payload can be up to double the SSO payload, but we could just say "(min)" or ">" ? Rod57 (talk) 13:36, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
