Eagle Estates, The Pines, and other neighborhoods edit

Somebody should add sections on neighborhoods such as Eagle Estates, The Pines, "Old Medford" that section of junkyards along Peconic Avenue, and other parts of Medford. ----DanTD (talk) 11:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The name Eagle Estates was started around 1958 - 1959. The organization was headed by a Mr. Tacca who was the builder. There was another man, Mr. Feinberg, who was involved with the group. Originally there were two model homes, both ranches, that were offered for sale. The larger of the two was offered for $8,995.00. It had three bedrooms (very small) a living room, kitchen and a tiny dinning area and had a crawl space underneath the house. Your only option when purchasing your home was the color. My family purchased the larger of the two models and we moved in in the summer of 1960. The first part of Eagle Estates comprised three avenues - EAGLE, CONNITICUIT AND FALCON AVENUES. The cross avenues were KINCKERBOCKER AND RACE AVENUES. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.46.85.251 (talk) 00:30, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Photo of Main Street edit

Should I attempt to color-correct the photo of main street, or just go and take another? 6DollarSuit (talk) 15:23, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

@6DollarSuit: I don't know because I'm blind and only have the article on my watchlist to deal with vandalism ... I don't think you're going to get a useful response here in a reasonable amount of time, because this article isn't well-watched. You can do whatever you like. Suffolk County Transit Bus Service? edit

I've never in my life seen a bus in Medford. I can only dream of a bus coming around, as the reality unfortunately has that there are 0 bus stops, 0 bus lines, and 0 busses. The only way I could think of this being misunderstood is that maybe if a passenger- went to Medford Station on a day where there was construction, and was picked up by the train-replacement bus from the LIRR. Please, please, please let me know if I'm wrong, and there actually is bus service. 6DollarSuit (talk) 03:09, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Maybe Suffolk County Transit has cut back bus service since I've lived there, but I used to see bus service all along Route 112 and Eagle Estates since at least the 1980's. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 14:07, 8 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
UPDATES: It looks like they didn't cut back any routes after all. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 03:24, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
